You are not alone

The effects of COVID-19 continue to shake the South African economy. The challenge is especially acute for small businesses struggling to return to normal in the wake of the pandemic. These are uncertain times for us all, but as we find new ways of working, it is important for you, our partners, to remember that you are not alone.

This is the time to explore new opportunities together.

The findings of the National Small Business Survey, released in June by the National Small Business Chamber (NSBC), highlighted some key learnings: 93% of small businesses say the most important stand-out learnings are building up liquid cash savings, reducing debt and trimming non-essential spending.

The founder of NSBC said in this article that having an exit strategy in place for after COVID-19 can help small businesses prepare well to hit the ground running and begin with the rebuild process.

And herein lies an opportunity for us. It is likely that COVID-19 will continue to have an impact on business for the medium term. Companies continue to seek new and better ways to work and enable staff to effectively perform their jobs from home (WFH).

The role of the printer/MFP has become more important for the small office/home office (SOHO) than ever before, with many people requiring reliable devices they can use at home. This is a segment of the market that we have not focussed on before, and which now presents an opportunity to offer solutions to customers who need efficient, streamlined WFH capabilities for their employees.

The way we work with you is personal, it’s a partnership and we walk this journey hand-in-hand, as human to human. With so many of our partners tackling the same issues, it is important to know that we can help and learn from each other in these uncertain times as we strive to change things for the better.

We are stronger together.
