Digital transformation offers the key to survive and thrive

Kyocera has been talking about digital transformation for some time now. And while a large portion of the business world has been adapting to and growing with the plethora of technology and digital applications available, it wasn’t until the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic that we truly understood how critical digital transformation is to economic and social survival.

This article, 5 Technologies to Accelerate Automation in Government Organizations During COVID-19 & Beyond shows how the pandemic has required that many global government agencies rapidly adopt a digital approach to serve their citizens. By investing in the right technologies, these organisations have been able to survive and even thrive over this uncertain period. When reading through the list of tools to empower in this article, I am struck by how on-point we are (and have been for a while) in our offering, as they list:

  • Cloud hosting
  • Enterprise Content Management
  • Digital Signatures
  • Dynamic Collaboration Tools like a Business Process Management system
  • Security and Privacy Controls

Now that we are all on the same page, the next conversation is how to improve our personal and professional lives as we adapt to new models of working. It’s important to realise that: "Digital transformation is not just about technology, but about rethinking how a process can be made more agile and automated. All this is done by people with the aim of improving the quality of our workforces." ~ Kyocera Europe.

Kyocera punted a formula to achieve successful digital transformation through a partnership between tech, processes and people long before COVID-19, but there’s never been as strong a sense of urgency to apply seamless transformation as there is now. Companies need the ability to manage documents in any format, while ensuring easy and secure access to records. They need to allow for digital signatures on real time documentation and there is a burning need to improve operational efficiency, ensure timely execution, all while maintaining compliance.

These are areas in which we have extensive experience and can help clients to transition to a remote working environment. All of which translates to an exciting time filled with opportunity for our business.
