Message of the Week 5 December - 9 December 2022
Week 49

Reasons to celebrate
As another eventful year draws to a close, I’d like to thank the KDZA team, partners, customers and shareholders for their support, commitment and loyalty.
This year, KDZA celebrated our 25th year of business in South Africa. We’ve done so by staying at the forefront of a rapidly changing technological evolution; by learning from every technological breakthrough; and by integrating developments into future business strategies to strive for excellence.
To continue to thrive over the next 25 years, we will need to remain agile and at the forefront of innovation, constantly anticipating and responding to the digital and physical environment that surrounds us. It is important that we continue to provide customers and partners with service excellence and we will strive to do just that.
With this in mind, I’d like to thank the management team for their for assistance as I transitioned into the interim GM role. Your actions have gotten us to this position in good shape and we have built a solid plan for next year.
We have set ambitious targets to achieve record sales in 2023, and we will all have something to contribute. Our partnerships with the channel and customers alike are evidence that areas of excellence exist.
KDZA has successfully come through a difficult period and despite the challenges faced post COVID-19, 2022 can be considered one of the most successful years in our 25-year history in South Africa, all with promise spilling into 2023. Since the pandemic, the rate of change in the industry has created opportunities for the channel to exceed well beyond previous expectations. Out of 28 Kyocera Document Solutions subsidiaries around the world, KDZA was a top performer last year, which can be attributed to our solid foundation and ongoing evolution into a digital company.
In order to keep growing the cohesion in our team, I thought I’d share some fun facts:
- Oldest person in company was born in 1956.
- Youngest person in company was born in 2002.
- KDZA employees have 553 years of accumulative experience.
- Before we all go on pension together, we will have to serve an accumulative 2340 years.
- The three youngest employees will need to serve a combined 130 years before they go on pension.
We are extremely proud of everything we have achieved over the past 25 years and with approxiametely two weeks to Christmas and three to New Year’s, we can happily celebrate these achievements with the confidence that there will be many more reasons to celebrate in the future.
Have a wonderful holiday season and if you’re travelling, travel safely.
