When Kyocera launched “Let’s print a whole new story” in August 2020 it was at the height of coronavirus fatigue and the beautifully crafted video served to remind us of the courage born from the support we feel from our colleagues. I watched it numerous times and felt inspired each time, but assumed it wouldn’t remain relevant for long.
Six months later, however, and I believe the video is even more relevant and needed than before. For many, 2020 was “a year to get through” and we pulled together to face the unexpected challenges COVID-19 threw at us, but in the back of our minds we somehow believed 2021 would get easier. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case, but we’ve adapted and learnt how to live and work in a pandemic and now is the time to turn the challenges that lie ahead into new opportunities – let’s print a whole new story.
We can do this by tapping into the key messages of the video:
Helping each other embrace change and create an environment that welcomes collaboration and openness will, in the long run, help us to stay agile when facing the inevitable future change.
Through our experience and cutting-edge technology, we already have the tools at hand. How we work together, innovate together, adapt together and reinvent our story together is how we build a strong foundation to guide us through the next stages of the pandemic and, hopefully, past its eventual end.
