Kyocera Document Solutions South Africa’s (KDZA) partners and selected staff recently attended the Kyocera Dealer Conference 2022 held in the Western Cape.
Our last conference was held in 2019 prior to the pandemic and there have been many changes within KDZA since then. It was the perfect opportunity to impart information about these changes and share information around how we have gone back to the basics and how we will be moving forward in terms of business focus. One of the main aims of the conference was to inspire and reinvigorate with the theme of the conference being reset.forward.together., which encapsulates the overall strategic direction for KDZA.
The day kicked off with a welcome message from myself and then a group update from Marubayashi-san (KDE President). This was followed by presentations from the KDE and KDZA team, which incorporated the same message and flow of the conference theme:
Reset.
Forward.
Together.
The conference concluded with a panel discussion, followed by a gala dinner celebrating our 25th silver anniversary of being in the South African market. Honouring and celebrating this milestone with our partners, eight of which have been on the journey with us for the full 25 years, was the perfect way to close the day.
According to the partners I spoke with, the honesty and dedication towards building camaraderie was needed. The industry conditions have been difficult, and the supply chain challenges have not helped matters at all. This in-person event showed commitment from the international team, as well as shone a needed light on the way forward for us and our partners.
